What is tax justice?

Tax justice is increasingly becoming one of the core themes of mainstream political discourse. In short, tax justice is about ensuring that all individuals and companies pay the right amount of tax to ensure a sustainable and functioning democracy. The focus may fall on supporting public services, reducing the national deficit, confronting corporate bias in today’s political system, or improving transparency initiatives to prevent illegal activities.
